It happens to all of us at some point. For me, on a downhill, the hiss of a flat on my front tire. I found a slice on my sidewall from the rim to the knobs. UGH! Lucky for me a friend suggested sliding a folded up dollar bill between my emergency tube and the inside of the sidewall to keep the tube from bulging out of the tire. It got me down the the hill with no further incidents.

You'd be amazed at just how many ways zip ties can save you on a ride. Broken straps and mounts, loose cables, you name it. Having a handful of  zip ties at the bottom of your pack can save the day! Best of all, they take up almost no space.
